Flux Plumber uses AI to help with plumbing work: reading photos, checking manufacturer manuals, suggesting steps and parts, and sketching piping layouts. Here is what it does, and what it can't do.
What it uses
- Your question and any photos you attach.
- The job, customer and equipment records you've picked, your truck stock, and the rules you've added under "How we do it".
- A library of manufacturer installation and service manuals. When an answer relies on one, it links to the page it used.
- General plumbing and code knowledge. Code sections are cited only when the AI is confident they apply in your state.
What it can't do
- It can be wrong. Treat answers as a knowledgeable second opinion, not the final word. Check them against the manufacturer's instructions and your local code.
- It doesn't replace a license, a permit or an inspection. You are responsible for the work you do and for following the codes and rules where you work.
- Gas, venting, combustion air, backflow and relief valves need extra care. The app flags these. Get sign-off from your supervisor where that applies, and test before you leave.
- Piping layouts are planning sketches, not engineered or to-scale drawings. Follow the manufacturer's piping diagram.
- It only knows what it's told. If a photo is unclear or a detail is missing, the answer may be off. Say so in a follow-up.
Who processes your questions
Questions, photos and the related records are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate each answer. Anthropic processes them on our behalf under its commercial terms and does not use them to train its models. See the privacy policy for the full list of providers.
